Effect of model organic compounds on square-wave voltammetric stripping analysis at the Nafion/chelating agent mercury film electrodes

The effect of various organic compounds on the Nafion/chelating agent mercury film electrodes (NCAMFEs) in square-wave anodic-stripping voltammetry (SWASV) is explored. Two chelating agents used to prepare the NCAMFEs are dimethylglyoxime and 2,2'-bipyridyl. Triton X-100, sodium dodecyl sulfate, albumin, gelatin, starch, camphor, and humic acid are used as model organic compounds, while cadmium, lead, and copper are used as test metal ions. The NCAMFEs are considerably more resistant to organic interferences than the Nafion-coated mercury film electrode. The implications of these interferences for the reliability and feasibility of stripping measurements using the NCAMFEs in real samples are discussed. Results presented for untreated urine and natural water samples demonstrate the analytical utility of the NCAMFEs in SWASV.

文章作者的研究小组在世界上首次合成自组生长的硅纳米管（SiNTs）后,对它的稳定性研究又获得进展.采用5wt%的HF酸对自组生长的硅纳米管的稳定性进行了研究,研究表明HF酸可以去除硅纳米管的氧化物外层,只剩下晶体硅纳米管,说明所得到的硅纳米管是一种稳定结构,因而使其应用研究开发成为可能.研究表明,硅纳米管的稳定性与其生长形成过程密切相关。     

A New Synthesis of Benzofurans from Phenols via Claisen Rearrangement and Ring‐Closing Metathesis

Based on Claisen rearrangement, the double bond isomerization of O‐allyl function together with the formation of O‐vinyl function in one pot, and ring‐closing metathesis (RCM), various phenols were transformed into various benzofurans in good yields.     

单极型马赫-曾德尔调制器的互调失真分析

针对单极型马赫曾德尔电光调制器在Radio over Fiber(RoF)和副载波复用系统中的应用,讨论了输入两路射频信号的情形,给出了电光调制器互调失真的严格通用解析解。该解析解可用于表示任意阶的互调失真项和谐波项。数值结果表明了该解析解的正确性。分析结果表明,调制器的三阶互调失真与调制器偏置相移无关,只与输入射频信号的调制系数有关,并且当外加偏置电压等于调制器的半波电压时,只存在偶数阶的失真项。根据该解析解,可方便地设计模拟光通信系统,精确地预计外调制器的非线性特征,优化系统性能。     

Fiber-fault monitoring technique for passive optical networks based on fiber Bragg gratings and semiconductor optical amplifier

A novel monitoring method for in-service fault indemnification in passive optical networks (PONs) is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. The proposed monitoring technique is based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors and fiber laser scheme, and a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is used to serve as a gain medium. By detecting the number of the wavelength lasing, the fiber-fault can be monitored without affecting the in-service channels. Moreover, the strain behavior on the FBGs has also been discussed.     

The modified propagation equation for TM polarized subwavelength spatial solitons in a nonlinear planar waveguide

The wave equation of TM polarized subwavelength beam propagations in a nonlinear planar waveguide is derived beyond the paraxial approximation. This modified equation contains more higher-order linear and nonlinear terms than the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The propagation of fundamental subwavelength spatial solitons is numerically studied. It is shown that the effect of the higher nonlinear terms is significant. That is, for the propagation of narrower beam the modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation is more suitable than the nonlinear Schrödinger equation.     

New observation and analysis of the E(4)Σ state in NaLi

Polarization labeling spectroscopy is applied to study the excited E(4)¹Σ⁺ state of NaLi in the energy range 25 850-27 750 cm⁻¹ above the bottom of the ground state. The potential curve of the E state is constructed using the Inverted Perturbation Approach method.
